AjaxPickering.ca has once again committed to maintaining unbiased and neutral election coverage for the 2018 Municipal Election. We have provided such coverage for every municipal election dating back to 2010.

All candidates have been contacted with a request to submit their head shot, contact information, and 200 word bio. AjaxPickering.ca is providing these Basic Profiles free of charge to all official candidates running in the Town of Ajax, the City of Pickering, and for the Durham Regional Chair. It is our goal to provide all of the candidates' election information in one, easily navigated place. We want to do our part to make the voters' decisions easier when the community goes to the polls October 15 - 22.

In the interest of transparency, please note that all candidates have been offered the opportunity to upgrade their profiles to Premium Profiles. A Premium Profile allows the candidate to included all of their social media feeds, platform, all literature, sign image, a campaign video, and extra word space for their bio. This free upgrade was included with the purchase a banner advertisement package starting at $25 and capping at $100. It is our endeavour to make participation affordable for any and all candidates, regardless of their funding.

To date, we have loaded all the profiles that have been received and we are committed to getting profiles loaded as they arrive or until the close of submission which is 6:00pm on Friday, September 28, 2018.
