About Hands 2 Feet Paediatric Occupational Therapy Services
At Hands 2 Feet we offer occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and music therapy to "help your child reach their potential in daily activities" . We are passionate about our work and believe that every child has the potential for improvement and success when given adequate supports and opportunities.
Hands 2 Feet is a fee for service private therapy clinic. Some extended health care plans cover occupational therapy and/or physiotherapy in their policies. Please check with your provider. Physiotherapy and occupational therapy services are also covered under the new Ontario Autism Program (OAP) funding. Some families are also eligible
for funding through various charitable organizations. Your therapist can assist you with the application process if appropriate. No medical referral is required to access our services. We do not have a wait list.
We provide intervention to children from infancy to adolescence with:
- various developmental delays, gross motor and fine motor difficulties
- acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders
- torticollis and other neuromuscular conditions
- autism, sensory processing disorder, poor self-regulation
- learning disabilities and ADHD
- Developmental Coordination Disorder
All of our therapists are registered with their respective regulatory colleges. Collectively, they have over 50 years of experience providing services to children.
Some common concerns addressed by our occupational therapists include:
- sensory processing and integration
- self-regulation
- fine motor skills, including writing skills
- gross motor skills
- visual perceptual and visual motor integration skills
- motor planning and organizational skills
- self-care skills and feeding
Our physiotherapist see infants and children with:
- neuro-developmental delays
- orthopaedic and cardiorespiratory conditions
- torticollis
- delayed gross motor skills
- mobility and balance issues
Our music therapist uses singing, musical instrument playing, storytelling and movement activities to facilitate:
- social interaction
- self-awareness
- self-expression
- communication
- personal development
We are conveniently located off the Brock Rd. 401 exit in Pickering. We are on the SW corner of Squires Beach Rd. and Clements Rd. There is ample free parking.
