About Selladurai

My name is Selladurai Jeyakumaran, a retired Chartered Management Accountant and an Industrial Engineer. I have been a resident of Ward 2 in Ajax from April 2013 and have been living with my wife (a professional) and two loving, grown up children who are also professionals in their own right. My appreciation of Ajax community spirit, and vibrant neighbourhoods has inspired me to offer my service as a Councillor for Ward 2.

I worked at the Schulich School of Business’s for more than 14 years, as a Director of Finance & Strategic Planning involved in major strategic decisions.  I am eager to bring my skills and rich experience from a career in Financial & Strategic Management to Ajax Municipal Council. I am confident that as your representative, I can find ways to work collaboratively to make wise, informed and responsible decisions for the benefit of all Ajax taxpayers.

I have served on few community services boards and have gained proven leadership experience to serve better to my community with good governance, transparency, while embracing diversity, inclusion and equity so as to build a better community for our current and future generations.

I feel strongly motivated to make meaningful contribution with full commitment and to share my ideas with passion, and to do the right thing at all times. I am confident that as a member of the Council, I can help to build a better future for all our citizens, children and to our future generations.
