Thank you for visiting my profile. I have lived in Ward 3 for 15 years, where I have also started a small law firm. I hope to be elected this October 24th, so I can be an advocate for Ward 3 residents in City Council. Please feel free to contact me on social media, or via email. I have also included my platform here.
Local Businesses: Local Businesses have been the backbone of Pickering’s economy for decades. Many great businesses have been forced to close their doors due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, and if I am elected, I will ensure local businesses are supported through programs like investments by the city and Business Improvement Areas.
Infrastructure: The City of Pickering Master Plan shows rapid growth through the expansion of the City Centre and the construction of condominiums. I want to prepare for this expansion by investing in Infrastructure improvement programs, like road improvement and public transit. It is important to me to hire local companies to complete these projects.
Pickering Airport: The Pickering Airport would take years to complete and cause many logistic issues around the city, along with hurting thousands of residents. Agriculture is an important part of Pickering's economy, and we cannot take land away from residents north of the 407.
Car Theft: I am a victim of car theft myself, and I have spoken to many residents in Pickering who have had a similar negative experience. It is the responsibility of the Municipal Government to protect residents, and upon being elected I would open an inquiry into finding the best solution to reducing the theft of vehicles in Pickering.
Night Safety: Many areas of Ward 3 are not well lit, and therefore not walkable in the evening. Whether you are walking your dog or walking home from a neighbours, I want to make sure our streets are well-lit and safe.
Education: I believe that properly educating our youth will help reduce crime rates. I want to create new youth outreach programs as well as build on those currently available to ensure that the future of Pickering is as safe as possible, and our youth have the best chance for success in their future.
City Programs: City programs are great for all residents. Swimming lessons, art classes, and more, all invest in the future of the city.
Public Transportation: I want to improve Public Transit in Pickering and Ward 3. Transit hubs support the organic growth of cities. Public transit is also great for the environment, and will help Pickering’s commitment to fighting the Climate Crisis.
